The Apple Watch Hermès has been a rare, expensive fashion accessory. Apple announced the limited edition and partnership at its conference in September and released the watch in October 2015. Apple just released two software updates for Mac, iPhone and iPad. These are minor software updates focusing mostly and bug fixes, security fixes and performance improvements. On the Mac, OS X 10.11.3 fixes a bug with external 4K displays and a handful of security holes. As for iOS 9.2.1, it includes similar security fixes. Unfortunately, this release doesn’t fix the battery meter bug.

Alternative movie streaming service Mubi is starting the year with some big news. While Mubi has always been a nearly-global service, the company is launching its service in China in the coming months. The startup also announced that Huanxi Media, Mubi’s partner in China, will invest $ 50 million in total for both the Mubi China subsidiary and the global Mubi service.

Netflix has a bandwidth problem. It currently represents 36.5 percent of U.S. Internet traffic and it’s going to increase as 4K becomes more popular, and LTE and fiber Internet improve. As Variety reported, the company is taking a first step by re-encoding its entire catalog with more granular bitrates. This move should lead to 20 percent in bandwidth savings. 
Telecommunications infrastructure company Ericsson just announced that it has reached an agreement with Apple over an ongoing patent dispute. For the next seven years, Apple will pay a fraction of its iPhone and iPad profit to Ericsson in royalties.
