Google Drops More Than $1.8 Billion On Newest New York Office

Google’s next big revenue model? New York City landlord. The search engine just posted on its own blog that it has today sealed the over $ 1.8 million dollar deal to purchase 111 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, where it already occupies 550,000 square feet. As part of the deal, Google will be leasing out the building to continuing and new tenants.

Get excited! iPad 2 Coming In The “Next 100 Days”

According to Digitimes, Foxconn factories are currently assembling iPads 2 for shipment within the next “100 days” which, by my calculations, puts the ship date at around February/March or, if WolframAlpha is to be believed, March 17, 2011.

Foxconn is said to be preparing 400,000-600,000 units for sale. If this is true, we can expect a press conference in mid-January and a release date of February or March, which is line with Apple’s traditional start-of-year releases. It looks like CES (January 4-9th) is about to be spoiled.

Ok les mecs, j’arrive au bout je pense. Le blog a officiellement un an puisque je l’ai lancé en Novembre dernier. J’ai commencé à écrire des chroniques sur mon émerveillement new-yorkais été 2008. La première fois qu’on m’a demandé ‘debit’ or ‘credit’ dans un magasin, j’ai pas compris. J’ai pensé que c’était un truc en rapport avec leur carte de membre. J’ai lâché un gros WHAT? Back in April of this year, I put up a post with a simple question: Why Doesn’t Facebook Look Like This? The post contained screenshots of a Facebook redesign that Japanese design firm iA had done for the company back in late 2006/early 2007. Facebook didn’t end up using the ideas, but there’s no denying that they looked great. In fact, looking over them again, they now look familiar. They look like New Twitter!
